The Rand Cottage is to be used by members of the First Baptist Church and First Baptist Church groups and organizations recognized by the church.
There will be a minimum charge of $75.00 per group for each use of the cottage. An additional charge of $15.00 per night will be incurred for more than a three night stay by church members and church groups. This fee is to be collected in advance of the stay. Additionally, there will be an extra charge of $7.00 per night for anyone using the cottage that is not a member of FBC or a prospect thereof. A member of FBC Durham must be present at the Rand Cottage during his/her use of the facility. There will be no exceptions to this requirement.
Reservations will be taken on a first-come-first-serve basis in the church office. The reservation calendar will be open beginning each January for church members and groups to reserve the cottage for two trips only during the year. If there are still times available on the calendar after June 30, an individual may then make a reservation for one more trip during the season. All cancellations of reservations should be done well in advance in order to make the calendar available for others.
Under no circumstances will any pets be allowed to stay in the cottage.
Each group should take certain necessities such as paper products, dish cloths and towels, and some cleaning materials. Personal care items and bed linens are also the responsibility of each individual.
Opening and closing procedures must be followed according to the printed Instructions for Opening & Closing the Rand Cottage at Ridgecrest. This will be received when requesting the key from the church office prior to using the cottage. Failure to follow these instructions may result in the loss of your privileges to use this cottage.
Exceptions to this policy must be made by the Facilities Ministry Team only.
