LORD’S SUPPER THIS WEEK

Church family, be sure to prepare for the Lord’s Supper this Sunday, May 21. Full provision is made for any who genuinely repent of sin and trust in Christ!  At the end of the service we will be collecting a benevolence offering, so prayerfully consider bringing a special gift for that purpose.

WHAT IS THE BENEVOLENCE FUND?

The Benevolence Fund was established as a way to address specific needs in the body and in the community on a case-by-case basis.  It enables the pastors and deacons to give financial support to church members facing difficult times and to individuals from the community whose needs become known to the church. This fund is built up through collections given as members leave the service on the Sunday mornings we celebrate Lord’s Supper. One may also designate gifts to the Deacon Benevolence Fund at any time by marking the contribution accordingly.

PARENT NIGHT FOR THE GOSPEL PROJECT FOR KIDS

Parents and family, we would like to invite you to our end-of-the-year celebration for our Wednesday night The Gospel Project for Kids ministry. It will be a wonderful evening of singing, sharing Scripture, and thanking volunteers. It will be Wednesday evening, May 31, 6:30–7:30pm in Morgan Hall.

TWO SPECIALLY CALLED MEMBERS’ MEETINGS IN JUNE

Our first specially called Members’ Meeting will be on Wednesday, June 7, at 6:30pm in Room 342 to vote on the deacon candidates nominated at our recent May Members’ Meeting.  We will also have a specially called Members’ Meeting on Sunday, June 11, at the conclusion of our morning worship service to vote on the elder candidates nominated at our recent May Members’ Meeting.  If there is any biblical reason that would disqualify anyone of the nominees from serving a second term, please discuss the concern with the specific nominee first, then, if necessary, communicate the concern to the elders.

SUNDAY EVENING PRAYER GATHERING

James 5:13-18 teaches us that there is great power in prayer. On Sunday, June 11, at 6:00pm in the sanctuary there will be a church-wide evening of prayer where we will pray for specific ministries in our church, for evangelism and missions efforts, for confession of sins, and for the sick and suffering. We will also sing praises to God and thank Him for His blessings. Please join us for this corporate fellowship with the Lord.

VBS – WORKERS NEEDED

Please mark your calendars for June 26-30 for this year’s Vacation Bible School, Galactic Starveyors: Discovering the God of the Universe. Also, please begin to pray about how you might be involved in this important ministry. There are many areas of service to choose from.  CLICK HERE to sign up, or by contacting Susan Fisher.  Pray as well that God would bring to your mind children to invite and bring to VBS!
