The Caring Center is having a "FREE SALE" on Friday and Saturday, May 18 and 19. We are closing for the summer due to renovations and want to clear out the store as much as possible so we have less to move out! Thank you for you support over the last few months. You have helped by providing your donations!

Please join us on Saturday, May 19 for a drop-in brunch honoring Sheryl Lynch and her daughter, Lucy Hope. Brunch will be held in the home of Nancy Lesh at 1838 Abernethy Trail, Burlington, NC 27215 from 10:30am to 12:30pm. Sheryl is registered at Target, Buy Buy Baby, and Pottery Barn Kids. Take a moment to pick-up the BFL booklet, review the class options, and determine which Bible For Life class to attend. We will have a specially called Members' Meeting on Wednesday, June 6 at 6:30pm in Room 342. The item of business will be the election of deacons. As stated in our current bylaws, "The moderator shall declare elected all persons receiving a simple majority of all votes cast; abstentions will not be considered as votes cast." Testimonies for each nominee are available on the church website (fbcdurham.org) and hard copies are available in the Welcome Center. Please take the time to read each of these testimonies and get to know the nominees. Pray and encourage the nominees, and feel free to ask them any questions you may have about their spiritual gifts, passions, and qualifications.
