According to John Calvin, Paul's first letter to the Corinthians is "no less difficult than valuable." While the epistle presents its own share of interpretive challenges, perhaps no other biblical book presents such a practical knowledge of God and His grace, the lordship of Christ, and the work of the Holy Spirit. It covers many topics of interest to modern day Christians, such as leadership, teaching, pluralism, sexuality, and worship.
Most importantly, the book seeks to answer how the death and resurrection of Jesus, as emphasized in chapters 1-15, teaches us how to live. Come study the book of 1 Corinthians with us as we mine some of the challenging topics and treasures of this often overlooked epistle!
