Women’s Ministry Events 2015-2016

DECEMBER 10, 2015
FBC, Morgan Hall  ǀ  7:00-9:00pm

Joseph. Mary. Baby Jesus. We think we know their stories well. After all they are outlined in scriptures and we focus on them at least once every year. But have you ever considered all the details of their experiences that are never addressed? Join us as we contemplate the reality of Jesus’ birth and consider the real moments of their miraculous experience. For a fun twist to the evening, we ask you to look back into the depths of your closet and wear your favorite and long forgotten Christmas apparel as we celebrate the food, fashion and décor of Christmas past.

FEBRUARY 11, 2016
FBC, Morgan Hall   ǀ  7:00-9:00pm

When have you felt alone in this world, in circumstances that overwhelmed you so that you begin to doubt God and His love for you?  Likely we will all face a time like this in life!  Come join us and hear stories of how God has pursued and demonstrated His love during difficult situations in the lives of various First Durham sisters in Christ.  Together we will see that God is there, in our hearts and through the arms of other believers, in the toughest times and we can strengthen our faith with this knowledge.  (Ephesians 3: 16-20 and 1 John 4:10-11)

APRIL 22-23, 2016  ǀ  Women’s Retreat
Caraway Conference Center
Asheboro, NC

Ladies, the Women’s Ministry invites you to join us for a retreat April 22-23, 2016 at Camp Caraway Conference Center. All of us, regardless of age, experience challenges and frustrations as we seek to balance life and the many opportunities to serve presented to us daily. Together we will look at practical and spiritual aspects of prioritizing that will help us learn “how to number our days aright so that we can gain a heart of wisdom (Psalm 90:12).” Save the date and come grow in learning how to balance life to live for Christ.
