Library location:

The library is located at the extreme south end of the first floor of our building, the same level as the sanctuary and most of the staff offices.

Library accessibility:

The library is open Sunday mornings from 9 AM to 1 PM, and Wednesday evenings from 5 PM to 9 PM. 

There is not an on-site librarian, but bright orange signs direct checkout procedures.

Library vision:

Furthering the church vision [“We exist to delight in, display, and declare the glory of God, equipping His people to spread that delight to all nations through Jesus Christ.”] by providing audio/video materials and books of all types-- Bibles in many versions, commentaries, study materials, biographies, current issues, missions, fiction, poetry, and more-- through which, by the renewing of our minds, we can

A) be taught to know and delight in God more fully,

B)  be transformed to display God's glory more fully, and

C) be trained to declare His gospel and His praise more fully.

Library objectives:

A) providing new materials on a monthly basis, paid for by our budget line and selected according to the vision statement guidelines, pastoral recommendations, and needs of church ministries

B) making the library more user-friendly by entering all materials, old and new, into the computer system

C) keeping the church body informed, through bulletin boards located on the first floor outside the conference room and the library itself, and through book reviews and lists of new materials published in the Beacon

Library statistics:

• 228 shelves
• 49 shelves of material already in the computer system (¼ done and counting...)
• 143 shelves of material in process of being transferred to computer system
• 36 shelves waiting to be filled...

Library desires:

The participation of each individual in the church through reading, recommending, discussing, and enjoying our variety of resources!
