Why does everything matter? The name of the Bible study says it all. Everything matters because living matters. The Book of Ecclesiastes is written to share an exciting message. It is written to let you know that life with God matters. Philip Graham Ryken once wrote that many feel Ecclesiastes is really about how meaningless life is without God. He adds that the author never gave up his faith in God (although times got really difficult) so he writes to tell the reader "not that nothing matters--but that everything does." I want to invite you to join our summer youth Bible study of the Book of Ecclesiastes. The study will be a verse-by-verse, sentence-by-sentence, paragraph-by-paragraph study of the book and each time I will talk about why what we are reading matters--especially to high schoolers and middle schoolers.
