VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Please mark your calendars for June 22-26 for this year’s Vacation Bible School, Lifeway’s Concrete & Cranes.  Also, please begin to pray about how you might be involved in this important ministry. There are many areas of service to choose from.  Please go here to volunteer to serve, or contact Susan Fisher at susanfisher@aol.com.  Pray as well that God would bring to your mind children to invite and bring to VBS!

EXTERNAL JOURNEY PRAYER EMPHASIS

We long to make progress in the external journey of gospel advance, and we know growth in this area will not happen without prayer. To this end, we’re encouraging men and women throughout FBC to gather together in small groups for extraordinary prayer from now until Easter, asking God for church-wide growth in evangelistic zeal, boldness, and fruitfulness as we seek to impact our city for Christ. To accomplish this, we need leaders across FBC to reach out to their friend groups and organize these gatherings at times, places, and frequencies that work for you. If you’d like to lead a group but don’t know who to invite, contact the church office and we’d love to help. If you need help finding a group or leader, you can also reach out to the office and we’ll get you connected. May the Lord be pleased to pour out His Spirit in an extraordinary way this season!

DRIVERS NEEDED

The North Carolina Baptists on Mission (baptistsonmission.org, go to health care section) have two dental buses and two prevention buses used across the state of North Carolina to help those with inadequate health and dental care. They need drivers with CDL and normal NC Drivers licenses to drive these buses. If you have interest or questions contact Crystal Horton at chorton@ncbaptist.org.

USE YOUR GIFTS AT FBC!

The elders and staff are eager to connect you with ministries in the church in which you can use the gifts God has entrusted to you. As you hear the sermons and member testimonies over the next few weeks, prayerfully consider what interests you have and please share them (along with any questions) with us at serve@fbcdurham.org or by calling the church office. Doing this does not automatically sign you up for service, but it will allow us to connect you with ministry leaders to learn more about ways you can serve!

HAVE YOU JOINED FIRST DURHAM CONNECTION (REALM)?

First Durham Connection (Realm) is our online interface which helps members easily communicate with one another.  It has an easy-to-use online membership directory, allows online giving, communication with your Home Fellowship group, BFL class, ministry teams, and more! To join, please contact the church office and an email invitation will be sent to you (please check your Junk/Spam folders for an email from notifications@onrealm.org).

MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORIES

FBC membership directories are available in the church office.
