ANNIE ARMSTRONG EASTER OFFERING

SPECIALLY CALLED MEMBERS’ MEETING
We will have a Specially Called Members’ Meeting on Wednesday, March 21, at 6:30pm in Room 342. The item of business will be the election of the deacons nominated at our recent February Members’ Meeting. The deacon nominees’ testimonies are available here.
PRAYING FOR THE CITY OF DURHAM
Do you have a burden for the lost surrounding our church in the downtown area? If so, you are invited to a time of prayer for the unreached around FBC in a concentrated way during the month of March. You may join us in mind and heart from your homes, lunch breaks, or quiet times, but we also want to invite you to join us in person! On Thursday, March 22, from 7:00-8:00pm, Sara and Ben Zweigle invite you to their home for such a time. For more information, contact Sara and Ben.
SENIOR ADULT LUNCH
Seniors please join us as we celebrate the retirement of our faithful building engineer Rufus French. We will enjoy a catered fried chicken lunch, several selections by the FBC Quartet, and reminisce with Rufus about his 22 years of service. Cost is $7.00 per person. You must RSVP by 12:00noon on Friday, March 23 by calling the church office.
MAUNDY THURSDAY COMMUNION SERVICE
This year’s Maundy Thursday service begins at 6:00pm on March 29 in the Sanctuary. We will listen to the scriptural accounts of the final days of Jesus, sing together, and then celebrate the Lord’s Supper. Childcare will be provided for ages 4 and under. There are no Wednesday night activities on March 28.
SHOWER FOR DANIELLE & CHRIS LAMPMAN
Everyone is invited to join us to shower Danielle and Chris as they prepare to welcome a new baby girl. The shower will be on Saturday, April 7, at 2:00pm in the Welcome Center. They are registered on Amazon.
NEXUS B4T: BUSINESS FOR TRANSFORMATION
Nexus B4T is a sending organization focused on engaging the least reached parts of the world with the gospel using business to go places where “traditional” missionaries can not easily go. We are hosting an event on Wednesday, April 11, from 6:30-8:00pm for students, church leaders, and business professionals to learn how business can make an impact for God’s global glory. Come hear how you can leverage your job for the Great Commission. Childcare will be provided.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Please mark your calendars for June 25-29 for this year’s Vacation Bible School, Answers VBS: TIME LAB – Discovering Jesus from Eternity Past to Eternity Future. PSS HELP AND HOPE FUNDRAISING BANQUET
Pregnancy Support Services is now accepting reservations for their annual Help and Hope Fundraising Dinner on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the Hope Valley Country Club. Their guest speaker will be Roland C. Warren, CEO of Care Net and previously president of the National Fatherhood Initiative (NFI). Doors open at 6:00pm with dinner starting promptly at 6:30pm. Tickets are $50 each, and you may also purchase a table of eight seats. The money that is raised through this banquet goes toward the operating budget and ministry of PSS. HEALTH FAIR – MAY 12
Please consider joining with us to serve our community with a health fair on Saturday, May 12 from 11:00am-3:00pm. FBC will provide free medical and dental care along with a free lunch.
