VBS – REGISTER TODAY 

Please mark your calendars for June 25-29 for this year’s Vacation Bible School, Answers VBS:  TIME LAB – Discovering Jesus from Eternity Past to Eternity Future. Please invite children of friends, family, and acquaintances ages 4 through 5th grade. There will also be a class for 3-year-olds who attend FBC and are potty-trained. Register HERE. In addition to those children attending, we would like VBS staff to register their “under 3s” who will need nursery care.  Questions? VBS – BOOSTER SEATS NEEDED!

Next week is VBS! As part of our outreach to the community, we are excited to be offering rides from various locations around Durham, and we need your help! If you have an extra booster seat at home that you wouldn’t mind FBC borrowing next week, please bring it this Sunday and put it on the stage of Morgan Hall. FBC SACK LUNCH SOCIAL

Join us Sunday, July 1, for the launch of our summer FBC Sack Lunch Social. Bring a lunch for your family and invite others for an opportunity to get to know one another better. The fellowship time will start immediately following the morning worship service in Morgan Hall and will wrap up at 2:30pm.  We will also be meeting on August 5 and September 2 so mark your calendar and tell your friends.  We look forward to seeing you then!

SUMMER SALADS & STORIES

Summer is officially here, and that means it’s time for the FBC Women’s Ministry Summer Salad and Stories nights to begin! Bring a salad, and a friend or neighbor, and come be encouraged in Christ through fellowship and hearing a story of God‘s faithfulness. Each evening will begin at 6:30pm in different host homes in Durham and Raleigh. Put these dates on the calendar: July 20 (Host: Sara Zweigle, Speaker: Becky Manuel); August 18 (Host: Sara Burgin, Speaker: TBD)

INTERESTED IN HOSTING A HOME FELLOWSHIP THIS FALL?

We are already making preparations for our Home Fellowship ministry this coming fall and would love to expand the number of groups. Therefore, we need your help in order to that well. If you have the gift of hospitality and would be interested in opening your home for a HF group, please email Andy Winn at andy.winn@fbcdurham.org. We would love to consider using your home and expanding our ministry this coming year!

GLOBAL HUNGER FUND   

Every dollar given to the Southern Baptist Global Hunger Fund will go to help alleviate hunger in impoverished areas. These funds are used to provide food for children and families worldwide, and also in areas where Southern Baptists have an opportunity to follow up with individuals for evangelism and discipleship. For more details go to globalhungerrelief.com. You may give to this fund online via First Durham Connection, or please write your check to “First Baptist Church of Durham” and write “Global Hunger Fund” in the memo line.

NC BAPTIST STATE CONVENTION    

The NC Baptist State Convention will be held on November 5 & 6 in Greensboro.  If you’re If you are interested in becoming a messenger to the state convention please contact the church office at 919-688-7308, ext. 27.
