MORE THAN A BUILDING COMMITMENT CARDS
Thank you for prayerfully considering how the Lord is leading you to participate in the More Than A Building initiative. During the month of October, we will be accepting commitments via the commitment card, which can be placed in the offering plate or turned in to the finance office, or online at https://tinyurl.com/MTABCommitment. With questions, please contact the finance office at firstname.lastname@example.org. Our desire is to have 100% participation from our members, and we thank you for your prayerful investment in the ministry of FBC. For more information about the vision and the details of the project, the More Than a Building Guidebooks are available in the North Tower.
LORD’S SUPPER THIS WEEK
Church family, be sure to prepare for the Lord’s Supper this Sunday, October 14. At the end of the service we will be collecting a benevolence offering, so prayerfully consider bringing a special gift for that purpose.
WHAT IS THE BENEVOLENCE FUND?
The Benevolence Fund was established as a way to address specific needs in the body and in the community on a case-by-case basis. It enables the pastors and deacons to give financial support to church members facing difficult times and to individuals from the community whose needs become known to the church. This fund is built up through collections given as members leave the service on the Sunday mornings we celebrate Lord’s Supper. One may also designate gifts to the Deacon Benevolence Fund at any time by marking the contribution accordingly.
WOMEN’S BRUNCH ON HOW TO STUDY THE BIBLE
Saturday, October 20, 8:00-11:30am in Room 342
As women of faith we have opportunities every day to speak truth. At home, work, school, wherever life takes us, we can only be prepared if we are seeking truth in the Scriptures. The Women’s Ministry of FBC invites you to come spend the morning with us to learn and practice fundamental principles for studying and teaching the Bible. This will be a time to encourage one another, study the Word, and grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus for His glory (2 Peter 3:18). No RSVP is needed, but please bring a brunch food item to share.

DINNER WITH AN INTERNATIONAL
Members of FBC have a unique opportunity to interact with people from all over the world. As we befriend our international friends, they regularly cite having dinner in an American home as one of the most meaningful and impactful events they can participate in while in the United States. If you’re interested in opening your home to host some international friends for a meal this fall (leading up to Thanksgiving), please contact Chase Jenkins at email@example.com. Never had an international over? No problem! We can pair you with an experienced volunteer to help.
