PASTORAL MENTORSHIP

Looking for mentorship as you walk the path towards ministry?  FBC is offering a semester-long mentorship designed to help men prepare for a life of fruitful and faithful vocational ministry.  We meet on Wednesday afternoons from 4:15-5:45pm during the months of February-May.  You’ll read and respond to the works of men like Calvin, Luther, Edwards, Piper and others. The mentorship also provides opportunities for practical ministry experience at FBC. Seminary credit is available through the Equipping Center at SEBTS. If you are interested in participating this spring, email Andy Winn.

CARING CENTER NEEDS

Men, it’s time to clean out your closets!  The Caring Center is in need of men’s clothing. This includes pants, shirts, shoes, socks, undergarments, winter coats and jackets, scarves, hats and gloves.  Spread the word, tell your friends.  Outside donations are also welcome.

OPPORTUNITY TO GIVE TO THE LOTTIE MOON CHRISTMAS OFFERING

The International Mission Board is currently conducting its Christmas emphasis for the Lottie Moon Offering. Every dollar that is given to the Lottie Moon Offering goes directly to support IMB missionaries. FBC currently has five family units serving overseas with the IMB and they depend greatly on this annual offering. FBC Durham’s goal is $150,000. Visit the website: www.imb.org and begin to pray about how God will lead you to give this year. To contribute to this fund, make your check payable to “First Baptist Church” and write “Lottie Moon Missions” in the memo line or give online here.
