INTERNATIONAL PRAYER & PLANNING MEETING
Join the international connections team for a prayer and planning meeting on Wednesday, July 18 from 6:15pm – 7:30pm in room 152. We look forward to discussing upcoming events, brainstorming ministry ideas, and considering our strategy for next year! This meeting is open to current volunteers and anyone interested in serving! This will be a great place to find out ways you can be on mission in Durham over the coming year. Questions? Contact Chase Jenkins.
SUMMER ADULT BIBLE SERIES
Join us on Wednesday evenings this summer at 6:30pm in room 342 for our summer adult bible series “Christ in the Psalms.” During the upcoming weeks the following individuals will be teaching: July 18 – Tyler Chesson; July 25 – Adam Chesson; August 1 – Mattt West.
SUMMER SALADS & STORIES
Summer is officially here, and that means it’s time for the FBC Women’s Ministry Summer Salad and Stories nights to begin! Bring a salad, and a friend or neighbor, and come be encouraged in Christ through fellowship and hearing a story of God‘s faithfulness. Each evening will begin at 6:30pm in different host homes in Durham and Raleigh. Put these dates on the calendar: July 20 (Host: Sara Zweigle, Speaker: Becky Manuel); August 18 (Host: Sara Burgin, Speaker: TBD)
NEW BFL CLASSES BEGINNING JULY 22
Beginning next Sunday, July 22, there will be two new 6-week Bible For Life classes offered: Discipleship (Room 251), and Missionary Heroes (Room 246). Click here for more details and a complete listing of classes. Take a moment to review the class options, and determine which BFL class to attend. SUNDAY MORNING PREACHING SCHEDULE
Similar to recent summers, Andy Davis is spending several weeks this summer focusing on writing another book. He will continue his everyday responsibilities at FBC, but in lieu of writing and preaching sermons, he will be investing that time in writing. During this time, the following individuals will be preaching on Sunday mornings: July 22 – Wes Treadway; July 29 – Richard Mounce; August 5 – Ron Halbrooks.
SENIOR ADULT TRIP TO THE FARMER’S MARKET
All senior adults are invited to join us for a trip to the Raleigh Farmers Market! In lieu of our regular July luncheon, we will be traveling to the Raleigh Farmer’s Market for lunch and shopping on Tuesday, July 24. The bus will leave FBC at 10:30am, and return to FBC by 2:30pm. Bring money for lunch and shopping. Sign up by 5:00pm on Friday, July 20, by calling the church office at 919-688-7308 ext. 33. Remember to bring your shopping bag!
MEAL & MISSIONS NIGHT – SUNDAY, JULY 29
Join us for a time of missions celebration as we enjoy tasty sandwiches, hear testimonies from our recent missions teams, and spend time praying for the nations. We’ll meet in the Fellowship Hall at FBC from 5:30-7:00pm. Prepare a side or a dessert to bring Sunday evening; FBC will provide the sandwiches. Please RSVP here.
CHILDREN’S MINISTRY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
We are now only a few weeks from launching our Fall Children’s Ministry activities, and we need your help! We have several openings for volunteers that need to be filled before September. All areas of the Children’s Ministry have needs: Nursery, Preschool & Kids BFL, Wednesday Night activities and Extended Care during the service. For the safety of our children, we ask that all new volunteers attend a child care training on Wednesday, August 1, at 6:30 pm or Sunday, August 12, during BFL. If you are interested in serving, please contact Kristen Snyder or Kevin Schaub this week for more information
MINISTRY NEED: INTERNATIONAL FRIENDS
International Friends meets at 9:30am on Tuesday mornings at FBC starting at the end of August. We offer English conversation, idioms, bible study and cooking classes for the spouses of international students in the area. We also provide childcare for children under age 4 in order to enable their moms to attend classes and hear about Jesus. Would you consider helping us on Tuesday mornings, in any capacity? For more information or to express interest, please contact Ashley Jurado.
INTERESTED IN HOSTING A HOME FELLOWSHIP THIS FALL?

If you have the gift of hospitality and would be interested in opening your home for a HF group, please email Andy Winn at email@example.com. We would love to consider using your home and expanding our ministry this coming year!
