MINISTRY NEED: INTERNATIONAL FRIENDS

International Friends meets at 9:30am on Tuesday mornings at FBC starting the first week of September. We offer English conversation, idioms, and cooking classes for international women in the area. We provide childcare for children under age 4 to enable their moms to attend class and hear about Jesus.  We are also looking for someone to teach a class on American history, traditions, and culture. Would you consider helping us on Tuesday mornings, in any capacity? For more information or to express interest, please contact Ashley Jurado.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

We are now only a few weeks from launching our Fall Children’s Ministry activities, and we need your help! We have several openings for volunteers that need to be filled before September. All areas of the Children’s Ministry have needs: Nursery, Preschool & Kids BFL, Wednesday Night activities, and Extended Care during the service. If you are interested in serving, please contact Kristen Snyder or Kevin Schaub this week for more information!

PASTORAL INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

Looking for mentorship as you walk the path towards pastoral ministry?  FBC is offering a semester-long mentorship designed to help men prepare for a life of fruitful and faithful vocational ministry.  The centerpiece of FBC’s pastoral internship is discussion on the nature, purpose, and methods of the church.  The internship also provides opportunities for practical ministry experience at FBC.  Seminary credit is available through the Equipping Center at SEBTS. EVANGELISM OPPORTUNITY ON WEDNESDAY NIGHTS THIS SUMMER

We all seek to be faithful evangelists but sometimes we just need to be encouraged by others and observe how to share the gospel. On Wednesday evenings this summer, we want to invite anyone interested to join Philip McDuffie (and others) in the Welcome Center to go out in small groups through downtown Durham for the purpose of sharing our faith. We will offer two time slots each Wednesday to best accommodate your availability. Join us from 5:00-6:15pm or 6:15-7:30pm and we will evangelize the city of Durham every Wednesday evening this summer.
