RENOVATION UPDATE

Thank you for your flexibility in joining us for corporate worship in either the Fellowship Hall or the Upper Room as the renovations in the Sanctuary have begun. The Sanctuary is expected to be completed in early April so we will continue with this pattern of corporate worship for the next twelve weeks.  Please keep in mind that the first floor, including the Welcome Center, will not be accessible for the duration of the project. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks again for your flexibility and understanding during this time.

CARE FOR RESIDENTS OF McDOUGALD TERRACE

Recently, serious carbon monoxide and other issues have been found in up to two thirds of the apartments at McDougald Terrace. This has resulted in more than 300 residents being temporarily displaced and facing hardship. We have the opportunity to help by partnering with a local likeminded ministry, ReCity, to help meet some of the displaced residents’ basic needs. If you would like to give toward helping the residents of McDougald Terrace, you can give by cash or check during the offertory noting in the memo line what it’s for, or by giving online (please select “Benevolence Fund”).

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Please mark your 2020 calendars for Vacation Bible School on June 22-26 !  Also, please begin to pray about how you might be involved in this important ministry. There are many areas of service to choose from including teaching, snacks, decorating, music, recreation, transportation, and more!  More information will follow in the coming months, but if you have questions now, please contact Susan Fisher at susanfisher@aol.com.  Pray as well that God would bring to your mind children to invite and bring to VBS!

USE YOUR GIFTS AT FBC!

The elders and staff are eager to connect you with ministries in the church in which you can use the gifts God has entrusted to you. As you hear the sermons and member testimonies over the next few weeks, prayerfully consider what interests you have and please share them (along with any questions) with us at serve@fbcdurham.org or by calling the church office. Doing this does not automatically sign you up for service, but it will allow us to connect you with ministry leaders to learn more about ways you can serve!

HAVE YOU JOINED FIRST DURHAM CONNECTION (REALM)?

First Durham Connection (Realm) is our online interface which helps members easily communicate with one another.  It has an easy-to-use online membership directory, allows online giving, communication with your Home Fellowship group, BFL class, ministry teams, and more! To join, please contact the church office and an email invitation will be sent to you (please check your Junk/Spam folders for an email from notifications@onrealm.org).

MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORIES

FBC membership directories are available in the church office.
