MORE THAN A BUILDING GUIDEBOOK

We are thrilled to share that we now have More Than A Building guidebooks available for review. This booklet will be helpful to understand the history of previous renovations at FBC, biblical foundation for the initiative, and practical ways to participate in this effort. Please prayerfully consider this initiative and how to participate over the coming years.

MARK DEVER PREACHING THIS SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 23

As part of our celebration of Andy Davis’ 20 years of faithful service at FBC Durham, Mark Dever will be preaching during the morning worship service on Sunday, September 23. We hope that you will join us as we hear from God’s word and reflect on the Lord’s faithfulness to our church thorough Andy’s ministry.

BABY SHOWER FOR MARIA ESTES

Please join us on Sunday, September 23, for a baby shower honoring Maria Estes as we celebrate the upcoming arrival of the son God has given to her and Stephen!  The shower will be held from 2:30-4:30pm in the Welcome Center.  Maria is registered at Target and Amazon.com.

PROSPECTIVE NEW MEMBER CLASS

HURRICANE FLORENCE DISASTER RELIEF TRIP

FBC will be sending a team to help with disaster relief for a day trip on Saturday, September 29 . This trip will be going to Lumberton, NC and there is room for 15 people on the team (youth & adults). No previous experience is needed, just a willingness to serve! RSVP FOR 20TH ANNIVERSARY LUNCH & CONSIDER WRITING A “THANK YOU”

Join in celebrating Andy Davis’ 20 years of faithful service with a churchwide
catered lunch, compliments of FBC, immediately following our morning worship service on Sunday, September 30. We are so grateful for God’s faithfulness over these last two decades and for the faithful ministry of Andy Davis and his family. If you are able to join us, please RSVP here by Monday, September 24. Join us as we celebrate this occasion. We will also be collecting cards of encouraging words and thank you notes for Andy Davis and the Davis family next Sunday. There will be a basket outside the Fellowship Hall to place your notes.

MEN’S RETREAT

Please plan to join us for the men’s retreat on November 2-3 at Caraway Conference Center in Asheboro, NC. This is always a great event to fellowship with other men, study and apply God’s word together, and deepen our friendships with one another. Cost is $95 per person, and include lodging and on-site meals. Register here.

NORTH CAROLINA MISSIONS OFFERING

This offering supports Baptist mission causes in the state of North Carolina, and it focuses on the ministries of the NC Baptist Men, including disaster relief and feeding teams, church planting, evangelism, and mission camps. HEALTH CARE MISSIONS CONFERENCE

FBC Durham in cooperation with the International Mission Board (IMB.org) of the SBC will be having a health care mission conference on March 8th (evening) and 9th (all day), 2019 at FBC Durham. This is an excellent conference for ages middle school and up for anyone interested in health care missions and those interested in missions in general as well. NC DENTAL BUS – BUS DRIVERS NEEDED

The NC Baptist Men have 3 dental buses and a prevention bus, which are used all over the state of NC for indigent health care provision. These buses need drivers. If you are able and interested please contact Crystal Horton at chorton@ncbaptist.org.
